Snitchingon reviews the Outback Steakhouse New Smoky Bacon Bourbon Bone-In Natural Cut Ribeye. Lured by a television commercial that showcased Outback Steakhouse’s newest steak offering that featured slices of crisp bacon position atop a succulent ribeye steak with a bourbon sauce drizzled across the top, we decided to give it a try. In order to shorted our wait we used the call ahead service that moved us up the wait list by at least thirty minutes. After arriving at the Outback Steakhouse location in Arlington, Texas we were seated in less than thirty minutes. The service was prompt and the server took our drink order and brought bread to the table.

I ordered the advertised offering of a 22 ounce bone-in ribeye steak prepared medium well along with a baked sweet potato with cinnamon, butter and sautéed mushrooms as side items. When the steak came out it didn’t exactly look like the photo on the menu. My steak was also not very hot and I prefer a hot if not sizzling steak and sent it back. When my steak was brought back out it was at a more desirable temperature. The steak had a good flavor with the sauce adding a subtle smoky flavor without a lot of sweetness as some bourbon sauces I’ve tasted in the past. The steak had about the right amount of marbling and was tender. At 22 ounces there was enough left to take home for lunch the next day and it was still delicious. I recommend this steak.
